Question of the Week and GIVEAWAY: Your Summer
Reading List?
: "Animal,
Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver is one of my new
favourites. It's a beautifully written account of one
family's transformative relationship with food as they attempt to
eat what they can grow."

Five Killer Hot
Dogs
: "I don't buy them
for home but about once a year I like to have a hot dog or sausage
from a cart downtown. I don't know why it tastes so good from a
cart. Please don't tell me about the ingredients or the sanitary
state of cart foods. I try not to think about it when I indulge."

A CLOSER LOOK: Pick Your Own Fruit or
Veggies? [from Eating
Well]
Sarah: "I go to Nature's Bounty orchard up in
Uxbridge yearly to pick our supply of Northern Spy apples, and when
I was younger my parents would take us to Whittamore's for
strawberry picking. When I have kids down the line I'm going to
make the experience a part of their growing up too - the memories
we made are as much a part of who I am as going to school was."
