Delicious Spreads
Canning is one of the latest
trends in food. It includes everything from
jams, to sauces and all in between. That said, when I saw
angelicasfoodcorner's photo of her homemade Apple
Butter, I knew it had to be chosen for this week's Pic of the
Week.
If you haven't had the chance to try apple butter allow me to
describe it to you. It tastes similar to applesauce, except it's
thicker and spicier making it perfect for
spreading all over warm toast or crunchy crackers. And if you're
curious which apples Angelica used, well they
were Norwegian apples from her garden
in Skien, Norway! Too cool (it really excites me to see people
all over the world use this site!)
What will you be enjoying this weekend?

Hi all, I'm the Community Producer of foodnetwork.ca. If you ever have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to shoot them my way. I'm happy to help! A bit about me, I love baking and hate cooking, which is why I've started the vlog Starting from Scratch (left nav.) You see, this is my attempt to learn how to cook and enjoy the fruit of my labour while sharing it with all of you! Hope you enjoy it and if you ever have any pointers, let me in on them!
