In honour of the 84th Academy Awards taking place this weekend we're christening it movie week on foodnetwork.ca!
You'll be treated to some fun food-related film features over the next few days, including our original cocktails inspired by Oscar-nominated flicks. These tipples were created by master mixologist Frankie Solarik of Barchef, so look out for cool cocktails to sip while you toast the cinematic achievements of: Midnight in Paris, The Help, The Iron Lady, Bridesmaids, and The Artist.
Later in the week bachelor foodie, Glenn Calderon, will test your food and film knowledge. Then see our roundup of movie stars who are also owners of some super cool eateries, and find out what your favourite stars like to feast on (yes, some of them do eat!). And, we'll give a big FNC welcome to video blogger, Monique Lahey, as she shows us how to serve up 5 super easy apps at your awards show party.
Plus! Our friends over at HGTV Canada, Slice Network and ET Canada have got your Oscar needs on lock all week long:
Over on Style Sheet, Elana's rounded up some movie interiors for you, but can you match them to their Oscar-nominated films?
Celebrity style and makeup artist, Paul Venoit, dishes to Slice.ca on what goes into Oscar-ready faces (apparently, Brad Pitt and George Clooney where concealer...)
According to ET Canada, Viola Davis' mom hasn't seen The Help yet. Surprising!
Visit the Awards Night site for more great coverage.
