Don’t let the title fool you – Chuck Hughes is ready to get down to business in his super exciting new show, Chuck’s Week Off. Airing Tuesdays at 7pm, this is one show that we’ve already fallen in love with. Watching Chuck travel across Mexico looking for adventure and amazing new food, is any food lover’s dream come true (aside from actually being there with him, of course).

In the premiere episode, Chuck headed to Cabo to find some of the best seafood in the country. His first stop was outdoor restaurant and tourist attraction The Office, where he snacked on a hearty lobster omelette. From there, Chuck learned the art of traditional Mexican Discada cooking, ate raw fish (sashimi) on a boat, and even ventured into the world of bacon-wrapped tuna to get a taste of what authentic Mexican cuisine is like. Which recipe was your favourite?

The great thing about Chef Chuck Hughes is the passion that he evokes while cooking. It’s impossible not to be drawn into his simple yet adventurous style of cuisine, and Chuck’s Week Off is sure to have you hooked, week after week. We’re obsessed after just one episode!
How do you feel about combining bacon and fish? Will you be trying these Mexican seafood recipes?
