Hometown: Toronto, Ontario
First Culinary Instructor: Mom
Why he could take it all:
Jonathan got his education from the School of Hard Pots. Well...he actually graduated from George Brown Chef School, but he's been working and learning in professional kitchens since high school graduation. Cooking his way through the gastronomic trenches, Jonathan is now an executive chef at The Royal Canadian Yacht Club. That means he knows the professional kitchen inside out, and how to command that hectic environment. Will his executive experience be his downfall? Tune in to find out! In the mean time, here's a little more about Chef Jonathan Goodyear:
What's the last white lie you told? That I like my fellow competitors! HA. No, I love them.
How many languages do you speak? 2 - English and Food! The kitchen has its own language for sure.
What type of music do you listen to? I love all types of music, but if I had to choose one I'd say Hip Hop. I listen to a lot of Drake - a fellow Toronto native - while I'm cooking.
