During the holidays I love to experiment with all different kinds of recipes to get that perfect Christmas flavour. I don’t just stick to food, I also love making different holiday inspired drinks. Whenever December rolls around I like to have my friends over and pretend I am a gourmet bartender. I love to try all kinds of Christmas flavoured drinks. I know what you're thinking, and yes some work and some don’t, but that never stops me from having fun.

This year, I really wanted to make something that utlized chocolate, which is one of my favourite foods. I always see chocolate drinks on menus at restaurants and think they sound amazing! I knew a chocolate drink would be perfect to make for my friends this year when they come over for my annual Christmas party. Vanilla flavoured vodka and a bit of crème de cocoa, paired with white chocolate and candy cane pieces lining the rim, this drink is a perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. This cocktail is a great drink to serve at any of your holiday parties, or even just a girls' night in! I know I will be making this all the time, even after the holidays are over just to get that Christmas taste!

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 1 minute
Total Time: 6 minutes

1. On a plate spread the candy cane pieces. On a separate plate pour the melted white chocolate in a small circle.
2. Take a martini glass and dip the rim of the glass into the melted chocolate. Turn the glass slowly until the rim is evenly coated. Repeat the same coating through the candy cane pieces for a festive holiday glass.Repeat with second martini glass.
3. In a cocktail shaker fill with ice, pour in the vanilla vodka and crème de cocoa. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain into the two prepared martini glasses. Enjoy right away.
