Eatable, a cool new Toronto festival running from October 4th to 6th, pairs film with food in a palatable and immersive three-night experience that you’re not going to want to miss! Each evening features a food-focused screening event with a sampling of delicious food and drink brought to you by some of the city’s hottest chefs, including Grant Van Gameren (Bar Isabel and Bar Raval), Brandon Olsen (Bar Isabel and formerly Black Hoof) and Leemo Han (Odd Seoul and Hanmoto).

What to Expect

Opening night, Sunday, October 4th, features the Canadian premiere of Sherry and the Mystery of Palo Cortado, a documentary that takes you through Spain’s grand sherry houses and the revival of this complex drink. While you watch, expect a sherry tasting and three types of yummy pintxos by Chef Grant Van Gameren, followed by an optional 5-course dinner pairing at Bar Isabel.

On Monday, October 5th, Chef Brandon Olsen will wow you with the perfect cocktail and cinema snacks while you watch the captivating film, Sergio Herman, F***ing Perfect, a story about Chef Sergio Herman in his pursuit for culinary masterfulness and the closing of his three Michelin star restaurant.

On Tuesday, October 6th, you’ll get to experience a rare screening of the Japanese cult classic, Tampopo, a funny critically acclaimed film about the art of making noodle soup. Chef Leemo Han creates an Izakya-inspired menu and ramen for your tasting and viewing pleasure.
