Recipe courtesy of Alley Burger. “Top Chef Canada” competitor Connie DeSousa’s truck serves up some not-so-secret alley delights that include the three patty wonder known as the Whole Truck Burger.

Ingredients

  • 340 grams Angus chuck ground beef
  • Kosher salt
  • ground pepper
  • 3 organic free-range eggs
  • 12 strips bacon
  • 3 sesame burger buns
  • 120 grams Quebec cheese curds
  • 3 leaves lettuce
  • 6 slices heirloom tomatoes
  • 9 slices dill pickles
  • 15 slices jalapenos
  • 6 slices red onions
  • 3 teaspoons Portuguese pepper aioli

Directions

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper and form three patties. Cook on grill on high heat until desired doneness.
  2. While beef is cooking, fry eggs sunny-side-up on grill, cook bacon to desired crispiness on grill, and toast buns on grill.
  3. Top beef with cheese curds during final cooking.
  4. Top each burger with 1 egg, 4 strips bacon, 1 leaf lettuce, 2 slices tomatoes, 3 slices pickles, 5 slices jalapeños, 2 slices onion, and 1 teaspoon aioli.
  5. Yields: 3 servings
