Jesse Palmer

Ottawa native Jesse Palmer is recognized as a commentator for TSN/ESPN and for his starring role on season five of the popular reality series The Bachelor. The former football player played for the University of Florida as an alternate quarterback with Doug Johnson and then Rex Grossman, spent four years with The New York Giants, and in 2005 spent time with the San Francisco 49ers. He later played for the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes. Palmer’s broadcast career began with Fox Sports Net, for which he did analysis for NFL games. He was also a game and studio analyst for CSTV, the NFL Network and has done studio work with MSG. In 2008, Palmer became an analyst for ESPN College Football Primetime, and a studio analyst on College Football Live, ESPN’s daily college football show. In 2009, Palmer added ABC Studio analyst to his duties, joining longtime analyst John Saunders. Palmer’s father, Bill, also played in the CFL, with the Ottawa Rough Riders and his brother, Billy, played college football at Notre Dame.
