Troy Johnson makes his Food Network debut as the host of Crave. The longtime music journalist turned food writer has appeared in national magazines like Spin and Surfer as well as hosting a music TV show on San Diego’s Fox affiliate called “Fox Rox” for six years. In 2007, he splashed into the food writing scene as the senior editor of Riviera magazine, working under James Beard Award winner Brad Johnson. Troy’s fresh take on food was an immediate hit, winning him first place in all of the city’s journalism awards. Recently married and living in San Diego, Troy regularly appears as a food and drink expert for KPBS, San Diego’s NPR affiliate.
