Kitchen Equipped is back for its third season! All new kitchens, gadgets, accessories, appliances and trends are part of this year’s must-see show. Ever wonder what you should do with your kitchen? Watch co-hosts Anna Olson and Jay Purvis uncover six designer kitchens (including one complete old-to-outstanding makeover) in this 36-part series. One of them will win your heart. After all, the kitchen is the heart of any home.Want to know more? Check of the Kitchen Equipped site today.
Originally born in Atlanta, Georgia, Anna grew up in Toronto, but found her way back to the U.S. to study culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University and work in Colorado and New Orleans. While initially trained in the world of savory cooking, Anna is equally recognized for her abilities in the pastry kitchen, having worked as a professional pastry chef since the mid ‘90’s. She is proud to call Niagara home, and has lived and cooked here for over 15 years.Anna’s culinary philosophy is based on a common-sense approach of cooking and baking with the seasons as well as respecting the ingredients, the technique and the process of sharing with others through food. Most of all, cooking and baking should be fun!
Our resident carpenter and handyman Jay Purvis has done it all—from building homes to walking the catwalk. This cheeky Brit has the good looks of Ryan Seacrest and the Cockney slang of Jamie Oliver.
Raised in Brighton, England, Jay worked in the building renovation world until the age of 20. He then traded in his tool belt for a chance to model in London. After years of strutting his stuff, Jay packed up his hardhat and moved to Canada where he continues to frame custom homes. When he’s not working on Kitchen Equipped, Jay works as a commercial diver.
