Jamie Oliver is doing what he loves most, cooking for his mates. Jamie meets all sorts of people from all over the world and in this series Jamie invites them to his flat to cook them a meal they'll never forget, and to answer some of their cooking queries. We see Jamie out and about in his favourite stores where he tells us what to look out for when shopping for our favourite foods. Jamie in his unique style then rustles up some tukka for his mates, and the party begins!
It’s Jamie’s day off from the restaurant and he’s invited two Australians who work for him in the restaurant round for a British barbecue – i.e. one where we eat indoors because the weather is so awful! We see him shopping for fish and shopping with Matt from the restaurant for wine. Jamie prepares marinated seared tuna, griddled squid with flavoured salt and griddled prawns with another flavoured salt.
Jamie visits a friend and fellow chef, Richard Corrigan, in the kitchen of his Restaurant, Linsay House, in London. The go back to Jamie’s flat to cook together – Richard cooks pork chops with sage, honey, cider vinegar and apricots and Jamie cooks his version of champ – a potato dish.
It’s Jamie’s birthday and he goes to his house which is being renovated in Essex to prepare a barbecue for his family and friends. He visits his father’s pub where he prepares a lamb dish and then goes on to the house where he prepares trout and halibut for the barbecue and a special potato salad. We see his guests arrive and enjoy the food at the end of the programme.
Jamie visits a good friend, Brian Klein, who has a boat on the river at Windsor. He agrees to prepare some food for a boat trip. We see him shopping for lobster and champagne. He prepares a lobster club sandwich, mayonnaise, strawberry champagne cocktail and a dessert called Eton Mess. Jamie returns with the food to the boat and wee see them in the boat enjoying the food.
Jamie has invited his chief washer at the restaurant, Santos, round to his flat with his Brazilian friends who have a band, for a party. We see them shopping in a Portuguese shop then back to the flat where Santos shows Jamie how to cook a Brazilian dish – Feijoada, and Jamie cooks Bolinho de Balcahau (fish cakes) and they prepare a drink called Caipirinha. Santos’s friends turn up & we see them eating, playing music and dancing.
Jamie has to write a column about chocolate and is in search of inspiration. Hs visits The Chocolate Society, a shop selling chocolate, and chats to Russ. He returns home and prepares a chocolate risotto, pan seared venison with chocolate and a chocolate aubergine dessert. He is joined by his friend Gennaro Contaldo for the eating sequence.
Jamie is looking after his 14 month old daughter Poppy. He prepares fruit lollipops, Moroccan stew and spring minestrone soup. We see them shopping for vegetables and then Jamie takes Poppy to the park.
Jamie is preparing Japanese food for two girls he met on a recent trip to Japan and are now visiting him in London. We see him shopping in a Japanese food shop and then returning home to prepare gyozas with dipping sauce, sakatini cocktails and shabu shabu. He collects the two girls from the Underground station and they return to his flat to enjoy the meal.
Jamie wants to inspire his best friend who cooks meals in only one pan. They meet in Borough Market and cook a spring frittata on a camping stove in the middle of the Market, then return to Jamie’s flat where he shows Jimmy 2 dishes which can be cooked in one pan: chicken with asparagus, cherry tomatoes, pancetta and olives, and fish steamed in cous cous.Get the recipes from this episode.
Jamie is preparing a meal for George Ngyutin, one of the best fishmongers in London. George comes from Mauritius and Jamie prepares food with a Mauritian flavour: tropical fruit salad, seafood & rice soup and cod baked in banana leaves. We see Jamie shopping for fish in George’s shop.
Jamie is seen visiting his nutritionist, Jane Clark, with whom he discusses his diet, his working hours and energy levels. He returns home determined to make some changes and prepares food according to Jane’s advice. He prepares: tangerines with vanilla, almonds and chocolate, steamed sea bass with spring vegetables, fruit juice and crab and grapefruit salad. Jane comes to visit Jamie and share his meal.
Jamie has invited his friend, John Prescott, who is a professional Elvis impersonator round for dinner. He decides to cook traditional fast food in his own special way – taking it ‘back to its roots’. He prepares Jamie’s burgers, oven baked chips and a chopped salad which we see him eat with John.Get the recipes from this episode.
Jamie is preparing Spanish style tapas dishes for his neighbour who plays in a ladies’ football team. We see him shopping in a Spanish delicatessen, watching the girls play football and prepare a variety of Spanish style dishes such as marinated olives and peppers, courgette salad, mashed chick peas with paprika, orange and onion salad and a Spanish drink.
Jamie has asked two of his students from his restaurant, Fifteen, to come to the flat and taste the soup dishes he is preparing. We see him in the kitchen at ‘Fifteen’ tasting olive oils for his soup recipe. He goes back to the flat and prepares Italian pappa al pomodoro, Spanish fisherman soup and Thai chicken broth.Get the recipes from this episode.
Jamie is visiting his friend Jekka McVicar who grows herbs and is exhibiting at The Chelsea Flower Show. They chat about herbs and then Jamie returns to prepare a meal for them both using Jekka’s herbs. He prepares Lemon verbena granita with apple compote, rib eye with sautéed potatoes and summer savory and garlic butter and a rustic bread salad. He collects Jekka on his scooter and they return to Jamie flat to enjoy the meal.
It’s late at night and Jamie is finishing in the kitchen of his restaurant. He invited two other chefs, Toby and Derek, home to watch a film and have something to eat. He goes home to prepare hot toddies, Philly steak sandwich, chocolate cake and flavoured popcorn. Toby and Derek join him for the eating sequence..
Jamie has invited his friend, Andy Slater – who is a gas fitter – round for dinner. Jamie has just had a new kitchen fitted and the gas does not work. We see him shopping for knives and then preparing a meal without using any heat. He prepared red mullet with lime, smoked salmon with carpaccio of raw beetroot and a tarragon salad.Get the recipes from this episode.
Jamie is preparing a dinner party for some of his new trainees. We see him shopping in Borough market for beef and then returning home to prepare: Fillet of beef with wild mushrooms, wrapped in proscuttio. Potatoes and fennel, and Lemon tart. The guests arrive and join Jamie for the eating sequence.
Jamie has gone to his restaurant, Fifteen, to help his baker, John Rolfe, with the night shift. He prepares a basic bread dough, rosemary and grape calzone, roasted vegetable bread and a breakfast pizza.
Jamie visits an old friend, Genaro Contaldo, who is a restauranteur in London’s West End. He helps him make some pasta in his kitchen & then invites him back to his flat to show him some pasta dishes. Jamie cooks spaghetti bolognaise, ravioli and linguini with red mullet. Jamie’s friend, Peter Begg, is having a birthday party and has asked Jamie to help him prepare the food. Jamie prepares a selection of cocktail-type food: pesto with pasta, beans and potatoes, watermelon salad, chicken kebabs and smoked salmon bagels. We see him shopping in Borough Market for pancetta and melon and at the party which is held in Jamie’s restaurant.
Jamie is preparing food for a picnic. We see him shopping for chicken and then returning home to prepare: chicken baked in pastry crust, green salad with basil dress, piccalli and an elderflower drink. He takes the prepared food in his ruck sack to the park where he meets friends.
Jamie is visiting his friend, Patricia Michelson, in her new cheese shop in London. They discuss English cheeses and Patricia shows Jamie how to make a simple cream cheese. Jamie returns home with some of Patricia’s English cheeses to prepare the ultimate cheese board, baked goat’s cheese, baked sweet potatoes with Patricia’s cheese and a cheese and pickle roll. Patricia and her two daughters join him for the eating sequence.
Jamie is practising with his band in a pub. He agrees to prepare a meal for the band, all of whom are vegetarians. He visits his friend’s Indian restaurant to collect some poppadoms and returns to his flat to prepare Indian chutneys, pineapple curry and onion bhajis.
Jamie has decided to cook for his builders. We see him shopping for vegetables in Borough Market and then returning to his flat to cook roast chicken, roasted potatoes, squash and parsnips with carrots and stir fried cabbage. He serves the food to the builders and they are all seen eating the lunch.
Jamie has visited a friend and fellow chef, Peter Gordon – the man responsible for first cooking fusion food in Britain – at his restaurant. He invites him back to his flat to cook a fusion dish – curry leaf crusted snapper with smoked coconut and tamarind broth and plantain chips. Jamie prepares a dish called salt and pepper squid with plum and mango chutney.
Lynne, Chris, Paula and Joe are all mad ABBA fans. They tour the UK in their camper van watching ABBA tribute shows every weekend, and they’ve just won an award as ABBA’s biggest fans. Francesco, Sarah and Andre are Americans studying at University in London. Since they’ve been here they’ve fallen in love with British food and Jamie shows them how to cook some traditional British tukka to take back home.
Jamie hasn't seen his friend Honey for ages – she's been busy choreographing Bollywood movies! To celebrate her return, Jamie is throwing a Bollywood themed party.

Friend's Reunited is a web site that has taken the UK by storm. Via the site, people have traced their friends from their old schools and colleges. Jamie has logged on and contacted old mates from school. They have planned a reunion BBQ, and are due to meet at Jamie's place.
It's Halloween and Jamie's friends' children are going out trick-or-treating, after Jamie has treated them to party food.
There’s a myth that models don’t eat fatty foods to keep their figures in trim. This definitely isn’t the case when Jamie invites his model friends Jasmine, Vicki and Polly to dinner, as they all love to indulge in great tasting high-carb dinners.
Jamie invites pals over to ‘help' him repaint the flat, and in repayment for their hard work, he cooks them lunch.

Jamie's favourite show is the hit police drama The Bill. He's managed to get onto the set while the series is being filmed, and meets some of the stars. The cast are big fans of Jamie, and are delighted to accept his invitation to dinner.
Jamie's Gran (who he calls "Tiger") and a group of her friends are coming up to London for a day. Jamie offers them refreshment after a day's sightseeing.
Dom, Jamie’s friend is a magician and a vegetarian. Along with his girlfriend Sandi, his brother Tim and his wife Sandy, who are also vegetarians, Jamie shows them that being vegetarian doesn’t have to be all lentils and tofu.
Jamie's friend is getting married and everything needs organising. Jamie has offered to sort out the menu for the big day.
London is a larder. Jamie and his mentor Gennaro show how even in the middle of a city, Mother Nature does provide – if you know where to look. Delicious dishes from wild ingredients, proving there is such a thing as a free lunch!
Premise : Jamie's mother in law and chums couldn't get tickets to the men's final, so they are coming round to Jamie's to watch it on TV – Jamie's providing an appropriately summery feast.
Jamie, Jimmy, Mike & Chris have been out clubbing all night, but instead of going home to bed, they are staying up to watch England play in World Cup 2002 on TV.
Jamie wants to host a Christmas party for his office staff, for all the hard work they have done this year, before they head home to their families.
