The winner will also gain bragging rights as the RvG Champion and join the ranks of past season winners Lou Diamond Phillips and Dean McDermott.
The season 3 all-star line-up includes: comedian Chris Kattan, actress Florence Henderson, former NFL player Herschel Walker, The Bachelor reality star Jake Pavelka, actress Judy Gold, comedian Penn Jillette, singer Tiffany and pop icon Vanilla Ice.
The celebrities will compete in team challenges in every episode to test their skills. New this season, each episode will feature a special Food Network guest judge who will determine which celebrity is sent home. At the end of the six-episode run, the remaining celebrities must cook it off to see who will be crowned the RvG Champion!
Rachael was born into cooking as a way of life. "My first vivid memory is watching Mom in a restaurant kitchen," she says. "Everyone on both sides of my family cooks." She landed at Macy's Marketplace at the candy counter and then as the manager of the fresh foods department. After Macy's, Ray helped open a prestigious New York gourmet marketplace. She then moved upstate to be a food buyer and chef. As a way to increase grocery sales during the holidays, Ray began a series of cooking classes and 30 Minute Meals was born.
In 2008, Rachael partnered with Dad's Pet Care to develop a line of super-premium dog food and treats called Rachael Ray’s Nutrish. All of Rachael's proceeds from the sale of Nutrish are donated to support Rachael's Rescue (www.rachaelsrescue.org), which is dedicated to helping at-risk animals through adoption, medical care and educational programs, along with training and outreach initiatives. In 2011, Rachael and Dad's launched several new lines on treats and food called Nutrish Just 6 and Nutrish Healthy Weight.
This likeable, laid-back California guy with his trademark bleached-blond spiky hair began his love affair with food at the age of 10, selling soft pretzels from a three-wheeled bicycle cart (named “The Awesome Pretzel”) he built with his father. By selling pretzels and washing dishes, Guy earned enough money in six years to study abroad as an exchange student in Chantilly, France. There he gained a profound appreciation for international cuisine and the lifestyle associated with it. Guy attended University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management.
