Jesse Palmer

Ottawa native Jesse Palmer returns as host of Recipe to Riches Season 2. North Americans audiences recognize him as a studio analyst on TSN/ESPN’s College Football Live and as the former star of The Bachelor, but he has recently added multiple appearances as guest host of Live! with Kelly joining the popular morning host Kelly Ripa, and a guest-acting role on the dramatic series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

The former football player was an alternate quarterback for the University of Florida with Doug Johnson and then Rex Grossman. He spent four years with The New York Giants, and in 2005 he briefly spent time with the San Francisco 49ers. He later played for the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes.

Palmer’s broadcast career began with Fox Sports Net, for which he did analysis for NFL games. He also was a game and studio analyst for CSTV, on the NFL Network and has done studio work with MSG.  He is an analyst for ESPN College Football Primetime, joining announcer Chris Fowler and analyst Craig James in the booth. In 2009, Palmer added ABC Studio analyst to his duties, joining longtime analyst John Saunders.

Palmer’s father, Bill, also played in the CFL, with the Ottawa Rough Riders and his brother Billy played college football at Notre Dame.

Palmer graduated from The University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and political science. He now lives in New York City.
