Jennifer’s dish is a lighter and healthier version of traditional pasties, an English favourite. Originating in Cornwall, England, pasties are typically made with beef, potatoes and gravy. Jennifer’s version has been handed down through generations of her family, and substitutes the beef with chicken while still making the pastry from scratch.
Jennifer previously lived in upstate New York, where she was involved in charity work. Her love of cooking began then, as she often had to use her creativity when preparing meals on a budget. She now cooks for her family, but dreams of her recipe being stocked on store shelves across the country.
