½ tablespoon butter
½ teaspoon vegetable oil
1 shallot, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 heads of broccoli, florets shaved, stalks finely diced
salt and pepper
1. Heat butter and vegetable oil in a sauté pan over medium heat.
2. Add shallot and garlic, sauté until caramelized and tender.
3. Add diced broccoli stems, stir to incorporate ingredients. Once broccoli is tender, add shaved florets, season with salt and pepper, stir, remove from heat and set aside.
