1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 small finger of ginger, sliced
1 vanilla bean, split
1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
2 star anise, whole
2 cardamom pods, cracked
1 tsp nutmeg, freshly grated
1. Place all ingredients in a small pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Strain through a fine sieve.
2. Prepare cappuccino as usual, add Gingerbread Syrup in place of sugar.
