Hot Beef And Pasta

lb(s) flank steak or chicken

cup whole wheat spiral pasta

onion, slivered

mushrooms, sliced

tsp prepared garlic

tsp ginger powder

tsp red crushed chilies
½
cup teriyaki sauce

can vegetable juice (Clamato juice can be substituted for vegetable juice)

red pepper, slivered
½
yellow pepper, slivered

cup frozen broccoli florets

Caesar Salad

head leaf lettuce

Tbsp gourmet Caesar salad dressing.

Tbsp low fat mayonnaise
Grated parmesan or cheddar cheese

Step 1

Bring water to a boil in large stove-top pot with lid.

Step 2

Heat oil in a large nonstick frying pan or wok at medium-high.

Step 3

Cut beef into thin strips against the grain. Add to pan. Stir until meat is no longer pink.

Step 4

Place pasta in boiling water and set timer for 10 minutes.

Step 5

Add onion and mushrooms to pan.

Step 6

Add garlic, ginger and crushed chilies to pan.

Step 7

Add teriyaki sauce and vegetable juice to pan and stir.

Step 8

Add red and yellow peppers and broccoli to pan.

Step 9

Drain and rinse cooked pasta in colander.

Step 10

Add pasta to meat pan and stir.

Step 11

Evenly distribute the pasta stir-fry on top of lettuce.

Step 12

Tear lettuce into bite size pieces. Arrange lettuce on serving plates.

Step 13

Blend dressing with mayonnaise and drizzle evenly over lettuce.
