Simple Green Salad with Yogurt and Dill Dressing

A recipe is merely words on paper; a guideline, a starting point from which to improvise. It cannot pretend to replace the practiced hand and telling glance of a watchful cook. For that reason feel free to stir your own ideas into this dish. When you cook it once, it becomes yours, so personalize it a bit. Add more of an ingredient you like or less of something you don't like. Try substituting one ingredient for another. Remember words have no flavour, you have to add your own!

Directions for: Simple Green Salad with Yogurt and Dill Dressing

Ingredients

For the Greens

16 oz mixed baby greens

1 bunch dill leaves

For the Dressing

½ cup yogurt

½ cup chopped dill

The juice from ½ lemon

1 Tbsp honey

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

For the Greens

1. Immerse the greens in a large bowl of cold water for a few minutes then spin dry in a salad spinner. Toss into a large salad bowl and add the dill leaves.

For the Dressing

1. Whisk the yogurt together with the dill, lemon juice, and honey. Just before serving, pour over the salad greens. Toss well.
