1 whole star anise

1 teaspoon fennel seeds

2 cups water

1 cup ice

juice of 2 lemons

2 tablespoons sugar

1 handful mint leaves

1 teaspoon grated ginger


1. Put star anise and fennel seeds into a small skillet and toast for 15 seconds. Grind to a powder in an electric spice grinder. Place all other ingredients into a blender and pulse until ice is crushed. Serve cold.
