Directions for: Torta Caprese


1 cup almond flour

1 cup granulated sugar

4 eggs

1 cup butter

semi-sweet chocolate


1. Melt butter in the microwave. Combine all other ingredients. Add melted butter and combine well. Pour into a 9-inch cake pan Sprinkle on top with chopped semi-sweet chocolate or chocolate chips.

2. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top. Test with a toothpick for doneness. The toothpick should come out clean but because this is a moist cake, there may be a bit of oil on the toothpick.

3. Serve alone, with chocolate dipped bananas or chocolate-almond ice cream.
