Homemade Pineapple Vodka

When you cook it once, it becomes yours, so personalize it a bit. Add more of an ingredient you like or less of something you don't like. Try substituting one ingredient for another. Remember words have no flavour, you have to add your own!

Ingredients

  • 1 pineapple, trimmed and cut into small pieces
  • 1 1/2 litres vodka
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Place pineapple chunks in a large jar or resealable container.
  2. Pour in vodka and store in the refrigerator for 7 days.
  3. Place the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  4. Set aside to cool and then refrigerate until ready to use.
  5. Strain the vodka from the pineapple into a clean jar, pressing down on the fruit to extract every bit of juice.
  6. Pour in the syrup and refrigerate for 30 days.
