    Nothing beats a surprise party except a surprise baby shower - everyones in the mood to celebrate. So heres the story: the expectant mom thinks she's coming for a quiet supper, her friends are bringing the decorations and Ina's cooking.

To follow, there's a creamy pumpkin mousse then spicy mulled wine and festive s'mores stuffed with French chocolate bark round a burning brazier in the garden.

    A party with a nautical theme on deck and at sea. Ina prepares a delicious moveable feast to eat harbor side on a friend’s boat. To start, she's serving rum daiquiris with Roasted Eggplant Dip followed by a Roasted Shrimp and Orzo Salad finished off with a show-stopping Coconut Cake.

    Ina’s friend is arriving late, so to welcome her she's creating a Cheese and Fruit Board with homemade Parmesan and Black Pepper Crackers for late night snacking. The next morning she prepares a show-stopping spread of Breakfast Bread Pudding, Garlic Herb Tomatoes and moorish Maple Roasted Bacon in her honor, all washed down with delicious Pomegranate Fizz. With food this good, her guests will never want to leave.

    Ina embarks on a day of experimentation and tests out some classic, comforting recipes on her colleagues. First up are her Strawberry Scones which she reworks with two new ingredients, then a hearty Wild Mushroom Lasagna, inspired by produce found at her local organic mushroom farm, followed by a simplified Shrimp Bisque, with all the wow factor but half the effort.

    In todays episode, Ina is surrounded with flowers! Why just have flowers on the table when you can have them all around the table. It’s the local florist’s 20th anniversary and Ina is making a dinner to eat right in the store. It will be a transportable feast starting with Red Pepper and Gorgonzola Bruschetta, Chicken Salad Veronique served with Herb Potato Salad followed by a delicious old fashioned Chocolate Cake inspired by Michael’s grandmother's recipe.

    Ina’s gone under the hammer and been won at The East Hampton, Group for the South Fork annual benefit. The auction prize is a Contessa lunch made by Ina herself. She makes a light, transportable feast using local ingredients for two devotees — Crunchy Noodle Salad, Asian Grilled Salmon and for dessert Lemon Yogurt Cake with Blueberry Syrup.

    Season 8 -

    Just when Jeffrey thought his birthday surprise was a romantic walk along the beach but Ina has other plans - a surprise beach BBQ for him with his closest friends. On the birthday menu: a Grilled Butterflied Chicken cooked at the beach served with delicious sides, Broccoli with Balsamic Dressing, and Tomato Kabobs - and instead of a birthday cake, an elegant Mixed Berry Pavlova.

    This is a spectacular in the fridge meal that fits in around busy schedules and busy times of the year like the Holidays. On the menu a delicious Roast Loin Of Pork With Fennel Stuffing, Cauliflower Gratin, Green Green Vegetables and a Pumpkin Parfait with Ginger Biscuits.

    Season 8 -

    Miguel needs a location for a photo shoot on Food and Flowers. And whom else would he turn to? So whilst he's busy in the garden, Ina makes Roasted Tomatoes for the camera, mouth-watering Lemon Fusilli with Arugula and gooey Plum Cake Tatin for their lunch and is even inspired to make a Basil Green Goddess Dressing, served over crisp green lettuce, for her supper.

    A finger food lunch for any occasion. Ina hosts a working lunch for her book editor and designer. The menu theme is bite size finger food including fabulous open and closed sandwiches, delicious cold Borscht Soup in a mug and tempting Chocolate and Peanut Cupcakes.

    Season 7 -

    Truman Capote wowed society with his Black and White Ball, and now Ina's wowing her friends with a Black and White Supper for the author of a new book about this renowned character and high-profile event. On the menu, Capote's favorite Chicken Hash, Pain Perdu, and White Truffles to finish off the meal.

    Season 7 -

    Ina's invited her editor and old friend Stephen Drucker over for dinner with a bunch of her new colleagues. To break the ice, she's planning an Italian-American dinner with spaghetti and meatballs and make your own ice cream sodas. Recipes include: Spaghetti and Meatballs, Garlic Bread, Ice Cream Sodas, Chocolate Sauce and Raspberry Sauce.

    Season 7 -

    Ina enjoys a girls day off with two of her closest girlfriends. She prepares a pre-shopping snack before heading to Main Street for some serious retail therapy and then rustles up a light lunch for them to enjoy while comparing purchases.     Ina's friend Michael Grim, a florist, has been really busy at work, so Ina's decided to treat him to a portable three-course meal--a countertop picnic lunch that they can both enjoy on his lunch break. It's the ultimate Ina take-out. This is no ordinary picnic: salmon with lentils, roasted shrimp with Thousand Island dressing and, for dessert, pecan squares with plenty left over for his customers at the store.

    Ina is going to be away for the night so she's cooking Jeffrey a great supper and breakfast to keep him well-fed in her absence. She suspects he'll skip the main course and go straight for the ice cream—how right she is!

    Jeffrey has some really great news—he's signed a book deal—so Ina's throwing him a surprise celebration dinner for two made up of all the things he loves best—French Bistro style food and a classic cocktail to kick start the party.     Ina's friends from Los Angeles are coming to town, which gives her the perfect excuse to whip up a classy supper. And while she jokes that they’ll be dinning on boiled water soup and undressed baby greens, she'll really be whipping up a fabulous feast.

    Even man's best friend deserves a treat on his birthday, and as it's Ina's friends' dogs' special day she decides to throw a party at the beach for her favorite pooch and his mistress. There'll be a beach BBQ for the dog owners with chicken sausages, homemade relish, potato salad, Sea Breezes at sundown and a fabulous sheet cake with chocolate frosting! Recipes: Hog Dogs With Onion and Bell Pepper Relish, Potato Salad, Sea Breeze Cocktails, Birthday Sheet Cake.
  • Tale of Two Soups

    Season 7 -

    Soup shouldn’t be confined to the starters — it’s a one-pot wonder that makes for a delicious, hearty meal that can be made in advance. Ina is recipe testing two of her favourites, so when good friend Frank tells her he has some friends in town, Ina decides to take the pressure off and take the two soups to his place for dinner – she gets to road test her recipes and he gets supper.

  • Back for the Weekend

    Season 6 -

    TR is having house guests for the weekend and Ina is helping him stock up his fridge. In return he has promised to run a foodie errand for her in NYC at Eli's tomato factory. While TR shops in NYC Ina stocks up his fridge with weekend meals including Chicken Pot Pie, Wheatberry salad and split pea soup and a tasty tomato sandwich for herself.
  • Comforting and Elegant Dinner

    Season 6 -

    One of Ina's friends has just moved houses, and to celebrate, Ina and her friend Allison Belmore are planning a settling in dinner. Their menu includes the most comforting dishes of all time – mac and cheese served with a baby arugula salad, plus peach and raspberry shortcakes filled with vanilla whipped cream.
  • Happy Ever After

    Season 6 -

    Ina compiles her list of all time favourite desserts. First something easy but really elegant Summer Pudding bursting with ripe berries, a comforting old time favourite rum raisin rice pudding, an old classic key lime pie, a two way crème anglaise that can be a sauce or an ice cream and a delicious hot caramel sauce.

    Season 6 -

    Ina's fantastic holiday house makeover includes a hamper left under the tree with treats for the holiday breakfast and beyond, a beautifully decorated tree, and an amazing display of winter flowers. Miguel is on tree duty, Michael has flowers, and Ina's head of the hamper.
  • Ladies Lunch

    Season 6 -

    All season the volunteers have been manning the museums of the east Hampton Historical Society and now it's time to thank them with a delicious thank you lunch staged by Ina and two friends—trustee Frank Newbold and local shopkeeper Valerie Smith. Frank and Valerie get to set the scene while Ina cooks a fabulous lunch of Swordfish Steaks in Tomato Caper Sauce, Saffron and Zucchini Cous Cous followed by individual Chocolate Puddings.
  • Long Distance Dinner

    Season 6 -

    Ina's sending a wonderful long distance dinner to a young medical student who has just endured weeks and weeks of exams (and chips and dip!). She's cooking a deeply flavored Fillet of Beef Bourguignon, with a creamy Zucchini Gratin and a plum tart with a wonderful crumb topping for dessert.
  • Long Island Food

    Season 6 -

    A taste of the Hampton's–that's what Ina has planned for her friend Jack Pearson’s weekend guests. While they are touring the local food sites–a wonderful vineyard, farm stand and cheese spot, Ina's whipping up a delicious Rare Roast Beef and Horseradish Sandwich, a Montauk Seafood Salad and Plum Raspberry Crumble—using only local produce.
  • Lunch in a Box

    Season 6 -

    Ina's friend makes her an herb box, and in return, Ina decides to make her a beautiful "lunch in a box." Her menu includes Lobster Cobb Salad Rolls; Brown Rice, Tomatoes and Basil; and Mini Orange Chocolate Chunk Cake.
  • Rehearsal Dinner

    Season 6 -

    There's only one thing more scary that the big day itself–and that's the rehearsal dinner. So when a friend's daughter doesn’t know what desserts to serve or how to set the tables, Ina steps in to help. Miguel's on hand to create two possible table settings and Ina's making two desserts–a wonderful syrupy Baba au Rhum and an Ile Flottante, floating meringues on a puddle of creme anglaise with a crispy praline topping.
  • Thank You Dinner

    Season 6 -

    Running a store's no mean feat. Ina should know—she ran a deli for 20 years. When a local store manager asks her to help with a thank you meal for his staff, she says yes right away. It's a French inspired menu of Provencal soup with spoonfuls of pungent green pistou, seafood platters with two zesty sauces sauces and for dessert–coconut madeleines—tiny morsels of light as air sponge. The party will be held right in the middle of the shop and the staff just has to set the table.

  • Back from the Beach

    Season 5 -

    Ina takes a long walk on the beach but before she leaves she makes dinner in advance so it's back from the beach and dinner is ready. Ina shares recipes for French Onion soup with Croutons, Goat Cheese Tarts, Tomato and Fennel Salad, and Chocolate Orange Mousse.
  • Barefoot Reunion

    Season 5 -

    It's the Barefoot anniversary and Ina makes Barefoot classic recipes for her original team. This will be a nostalgic recipe trip with great stories to reminisce about. Recipes include: BBQ Ribs, Potato Salad, Blue Cheese Coleslaw, and Chocolate Ganache Cup Cakes.

    Season 5 -

    Ina puts together a portable feast to eat at the beach while watching her friend's daughter play volleyball.  She makes a high energy snack for the teams and lunch for the spectators. Recipes include: Curried Chicken Wraps, Panzanella, and Peanut Butter.

    Ina is hosting a dinner party Friday night but has no time to make dinner, so she creates a menu that can be made in advance. Zucchini Vichyssoise, Rosemary Polenta, Chicken with Morels and Coconut Macaroons served with iced coffee.

    Season 3 -

    It's Ina's friend Robert Stillin Birthday and she's making him a special Birthday dinner. Rack of Lamb Pissaldiere, Potato and Fennel Gratin, Sautéed Carrots and Coeur à La Crème with Fruit sauce. This is a perfect gift for the man who has everything.

    Season 3 -

    Ina shares all her catering secrets when she hosts a book party for a friend. Cheddar cheese a chutney brioche, Tuna tartare, smoked salmon tea sandwiches and cup cakes decorated with pansies. There will be no hungry guests and time to enjoy the party.
