Season 1 - December 3, 2017
Guy Fieri sends the remaining prospects to New York City where they have one last chance to hone their show concept into a sizzle, a pitch tape that explains a show's concept, before presenting it to Food Network. Their sizzles will be screened by Guy's closest Food Network chef friends: Scott Conant, Mark Dissin, Amanda Freitag, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marc Murphy, Justin Warner and Geoffrey Zakarian.
Season 1 - November 26, 2017
A great food show host has to be able to interview a featured chef while highlighting their food. To put the remaining prospects' interview skills to the test, Guy Fieri, Alex Guarnaschelli and Mark Dissin bring them to Las Vegas, the city where Guy got his start. He puts them through a hilarious but educational exercise that involves interviewing different types of chefs, and one prospect is sent home.
Season 1 - November 19, 2017
Guy Fieri brings the prospects onto the set of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives to see how he hooks viewers with the show intro. Then Guy, Alex Guarnaschelli and Mark Dissin send each prospect out to shoot an intro for a restaurant that they would feature on their show. Not everyone excels as the competition gets tougher, and one prospect is sent home.
Season 1 - November 12, 2017
A great Food Network host has to be able to take a bite of the featured dish and describe it for the audience. This week, the remaining prospects arrive in Los Angeles, where Guy Fieri, Alex Guarnaschelli and Mark Dissin test their ability to do just that. Guy asks the prospects to pick a dish that they would feature on their show and describe it to camera. But it's much harder than it looks on TV, and the challenge sends one prospect packing.
Season 1 - November 5, 2017
On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy Fieri travels around the world eating the best food he can find. Now he's bringing together top prospects to find the best concept and host for the next big food road show on Food Network. For their first exercise, Guy gets help from Chef Alex Guarnaschelli and producer Mark Dissin to road-test the prospects' ideas, asking each prospect to make a pitch tape explaining who they are and what their show is about. Then the prospects head into the kitchen to see who can back up their show idea with the necessary cooking chops before one prospect is sent home.
