Can’t wait to meet the next batch of competitors on Top Chef Canada?

(Lisa Ray, Mark McEwan and Shereen Arazm at North 44)
Head Judge Mark McEwan introduced members of Toronto’s media to some of the knife-yielding, blast-chilling, and broiler-blazing chefs last week at his flagship restaurant, North 44.
Along with show host Lisa Ray and resident judge Shereen Arazm, the media’s top tastemakers sampled five courses prepared by five of this season’s competitors:
Ruth Eddolls, 30 – flavours her dishes with a punch of attitude
Jonathan Goodyear, 34 – an executive chef with exclusive taste
Rebecca Ross, 24 – the chef who cooks from the heart
Dennis Tay, 34 – upscale Asian flavor guru
Rory White, 23 - this year’s youngest competitor

Crispy pig’s ear, ham hock ravioli and homemade preserved peaches were among the surprises served to the exclusive group. If this is what we can expect this season on Top Chef Canada then we’re hungry for more!

Click back to our blog throughout the week to meet these five competitors ahead of the premiere on March 18th! Do they have what it takes to be Canada’s next Top Chef? You be the judge…
