For those who aren’t already familiar with the group, The Try Guys are Ned Fulmer, Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld, and Eugene Lee Yang. The four friends and business partners first met while working at Buzzfeed back in 2014 and found success starring in comedic YouTube videos on the media company’s channel. After finding success with their series, Squad Wars, the group left Buzzfeed to start their own independent production company under the Try Guys moniker. They’re known for their quick wit and relatability as they put just about everything—from top-rated beauty products to the legal drinking limit—to the test in the videos.

Now, after garnering more than two billion views on their YouTube channel, the Try Guys are headed to the silver screens for a new show on Food Network Canada. No-Recipe Road Trip with the Try Guys is a six-episode series inspired by their YouTube series, Without a Recipe. Before digging into the new food-loving travel show, get to know Ned, Keith, Zach and Eugene.

Their early success

The four friends and business partners found each other and created the group after filming a video together for Buzzfeed, Guys Try On Ladies Underwear For the First Time. The audience loved it and wanted more; thus the group was formed. The friends say it was formed by chance (they were just the few to volunteer to be in the video) and also by the audience, who demanded more content from them.

The Try Guys really are friends

Or more like brothers, really. Their chemistry and support of one another is obvious on-screen, but they describe it as deeper than friendship (because friends can split up if they fight, family is forever!).

The Try Guys’ most viral video

In their comedic videos, the Try Guys explore many serious topics through a humourous lens, including sexuality and gender issues. Their most popular video, part of their Motherhood series, is The Try Guys Try Labor Pain Simulation which has over 35 million views on the Buzzfeed YouTube channel.

The Try Guys are published authors

Not only are they known for creating hilariously funny videos on the internet—the Try Guys are also published authors! Their first book, The Hidden Power of F*cking Up is a self-improvement guide inspired by their willingness to try (and fail!) at everything and anything and grow along the way.

Other Try Guys merch includes a cookbook by Ned and his wife, a hot sauce line from Keith, Try Guys apparel and more.

And their YouTube series is award-winning

Not just popular with audiences, the many accolades of the Try Guys includes being honoured by just about every internet-focused award show under the sun including the Streamy, the Webby and the Shorty Awards for their internet sensation series.

The Try Guys are not trained chefs

In their new series, the four will take a road trip to different restaurants and with no culinary training and no recipes, they’ll each try their hand at recreating the most popular dish on the menu. The winning dish has a chance to make it on the restaurant’s menu. Will it always be tasty? Maybe not. But will it be hilarious? We can guarantee it!
