Giada De Laurentis’s first Las Vegas restaurant, is a smashing success! She spent the week posting photos of a Thanksgiving recipe tasting and a very special visit from famed chef Guy Savoy. (She also had time to stop into José Andrés Bazaar Meat for the most epic looking Sloppy Joe ever made.)
Gordon Ramsay had an interesting week. The opening of his new Mayfair restaurant, Heddon Street Kitchen, was reportedly spoiled by a professional rival (dun dun duuuuun!). Appearing on the Jonathan Ross Show (via The Telegraph), Ramsay claimed that out of 140 reservations, only 40 materialized. He chalked it up to a saboteur and vowed to beef up his confirmation system. (It’s a shame, the roast looks absolutely lovely.)
Jamie Oliver’s Instagram combined his passion for food and philanthropy – he posted an insanely delicious looking brunch recipe made with healthy, South American-inspired options (quinoa, cumin, black beans, jalapenos) for World Diabetes Day and hammed it up with a short video for the launch of Movember.
The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, showed off her decadent Thanksgiving broccoli side dish, her freshly baked Cloverleaf rolls and her Pioneer Man on Instagram. Seriously, he looks like he just rode out of a Stetson ad.
Rachael Ray took a philosophical turn, posing two crucial questions that set off a commenting firestorm. 1. Pie topping: whip cream or ice cream? 2. French onion soup: overrated or under-rated? The debate rages on.
