Deep-Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie

Sink your sweet tooth into this deep-dish chocolate chip cookie. The cookie is baked in a skillet to allow the edges to be equally as soft and delicious as well as the ooey-gooey moist centre.

Deep-Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie

cup (225 mL) softened butter

cup (225 mL) white sugar

cup (225 mL) brown sugar

eggs
1 ½
tsp (7 mL) vanilla extract

cups (675 mL) all-purpose flour

tsp (5 mL) baking soda

tsp (2 mL) baking powder
1 ½
tsp (7 mL) salt
3
cups (675 mL) chocolate chips

Vanilla or chocolate ice cream

Step 1

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar for 2 minutes or until smooth and fluffy.

Step 2

Add eggs one at a time and mix after each addition. Next, add the vanilla extract, baking soda, baking powder and salt to the cookie batter. Slowly mix in flour, one cup at a time.

Step 3

Once the mixture is thoroughly mixed, add the chocolate chips. Spoon dough into a skillet with a thickness of around 1 inch.

Step 4

Bake in the oven at 350ºF for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove the skillet from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Once cookie has cooled, top with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
