Fresh Tomato and Pesto Penne with Parmesan

oz penne or other short pasta

Tbsp all-purpose flour

cup milk
cup prepared basil pesto
½
tsp salt (or to taste)
¼
tsp pepper (or to taste)
2
cup grape or cherry tomatoes, halved
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil leaves (optional)

Step 1

In large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta for 10 min or until almost tender. Drain immediately and return to pot.

Step 2

Whisk flour into Milk and pour over pasta in pot. Stir in pesto; cook over medium heat, stirring, for about 5 min or until sauce is thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in tomatoes and serve sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Garnish with fresh basil (if using).
