Directions for: Fruit and Cheese Bites with Balsamic Syrup

½ cup (125 mL) balsamic vinegar

3 Tbsp (45 mL) packed brown sugar

48 large seedless red or green grapes

32 ¾ inch (2 cm) cubes Black Diamond Marble Cheese (about 8 oz/250 g)

1. Balsamic Syrup: In a small saucepan, bring vinegar and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat; reduce heat and simmer until reduced by half, about 10 minutes.

2. On each of 16 small skewers, thread 1 grape, then 1 cube cheese; repeat once, then finish with another grape.

Place skewers on a platter; drizzle with some of the balsamic syrup, and serve any remaining syrup in a small bowl for dipping.
