Honey Spiced Nuts
- serves 4
2 cup mixed nuts (500 ml)
2 Tbsp toasted cumin seeds (30 ml)
2 Tbsp toasted coriander seeds (30 ml)
1 Tbsp toasted caraway seeds (15 ml)
¼ tsp cayenne pepper (1 ml)
1 Tbsp orange flower water (15 ml)
1 Tbsp honey (15 ml)
2 Tbsp vegetable oil (30 ml)
Sea salt and ground black pepper, to taste
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. Grind the cumin seed, coriander seed and caraway in a spice grinder. Combine with the cayenne, orange flower water and honey. Put the vegetable oil into a large sauté pan and add the nuts. Let them heat up slowly and then add the spice mixture. Toss well and then spread the nuts onto a baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper and roast until the nuts are dry and golden. Cool the nuts and serve. Store in an airtight container.
