Fruit smoothies are a great alternative to milk shakes for kids;an easy way to sneak in fruit! Make the smoothie as thick or as thin as you like by adding less or more milk. Makes about 5 cups.

Directions for: Kids' Smoothie


1 1 medium banana, cut into ½-inch pieces and frozen for 10-15 minutes

2 cup frozen blueberries (500 ml)

1 ½ cup yogurt or vanilla ice cream (375 ml)

½ cup milk (125 ml)

½ cup orange juice (125 ml)

¼ cup honey (60 ml), or sweetened to taste


1. Add yogurt and honey to a blender. Secure lid and blend until well incorporated. Add the orange juice, milk, frozen banana and frozen blueberry to the yogurt mixture in the blender. Secure lid and blend until smooth and frothy. Garnish with a slice of fruit, if desired. Serve immediately.
