Who says sangria is just for the summer? If you’re looking for all the warm, comforting flavours of mulled wine in a cheery cocktail, this sparkling sangria is for you. Filled with cinnamon, star anise, winter citrus and the celebratory sparkle of Montellier® Sparkling Water, this is a cool and refreshing way to start the season.
In a large jug or carafe, add the wine, liqueur, brandy, cinnamon sticks, star anise and fruit wedges. Stir to combine.
Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour. Around 4 hours is ideal.
When you’re ready to serve, add a few frozen cranberries to each glass then fill half way with sangria, making sure to include lots of fruit. A touch of bubbles perfects this cocktail, so top each with Montellier® Sparkling Water to taste.
