Sweet & Spicy Coffee-Rubbed Pork Chops

Combine coffee with spicy cayenne, ancho chile and dark brown sugar for a perfectly balanced Sweet & Spicy Rubbed Pork Chop.

Directions for: Sweet & Spicy Coffee-Rubbed Pork Chops


2 Tbsp coffee, freshly ground

2 Tbsp sweet Spanish paprika

1 Tbsp ancho chile powder

1 Tbsp ground coriander seed

½ tsp cayenne pepper

1 Tbsp dark brown sugar

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp ground black pepper

3 clove garlic, minced

2 Tbsp kosher salt

2 Tbsp olive oil

6 thick centre-cut pork chops


1. Combine all the rub ingredients except for the kosher salt and olive oil.

2. Pat pork dry with paper towels. Rub with olive oil. Rub each chop liberally with the rub.

3. Store in a non-reactive container wrapped tightly in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight.

4. Preheat grill to medium-high. Season chops with the Kosher Salt. Grill 6-8 minutes on each side until internal temperature reaches 160ºF.

5. Serve and enjoy!
