Step 1
Split vanilla beans lengthwise, cut in half and place with sugar in a re-sealable bag or airtight container and store for at least 2 weeks.
Step 2
Place 1 cup of the sugar in a decorative bag with a section of vanilla bean and tie with a ribbon.
