Mulled wine is the perfect simmering of all the classic winter spices like cloves and cinnamon. It fills your kitchen with delicate aromas of orange and spice making it smell and feel like the holidays.

mL bottle red wine

Tbsp mulling spices
½
cup brown sugar
¼
cup brandy
orange zest

Step 1
Place spices in a mulling spice ball or a cheesecloth and place in a pot.
Step 2
Add wine, brandy and orange zest.
Step 3
Bring ingredients to a boil over high heat.
Step 4
Once boiling, turn off heat, add sugar, sit and cover pot for 15 minutes.
Step 5
Ladle into warm mugs or glasses and garnish with a lemon wedge.
