Pearl Milling Company Rebranding

This month, Quaker Oats officially announced the rebranding of their popular pancake mixes and syrups. Previously known as Aunt Jemima, the 130-year-old brand will now go by Pearl Milling Company, following public outrage over its name and characterizations. Quaker Oats released a statement acknowledging that the brand previously perpetuated racist stereotypes that dated back to the days of slavery. The rollout will be gradual in the coming months, with the complete switch over being finalized in June.
