About the Host
Executive producer, best-selling author, celebrity chef and host of two internationally syndicated television series, David Rocco is a busy guy.
David Rocco’s series airs in multiple languages in over 150 countries worldwide on a variety of networks. Recently, David also stars as lead judge on the popular series Donut Showdown, currently airing on Food Network and Cooking Channel.
David has published three cookbooks, including two national best sellers: David Rocco’s Dolce Vita and Made In Italy, each receiving numerous awards and accolades including top honors from The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and Taste Canada. With a new cookbook in the works, David has also ventured out into the world of winemaking by launching his own wine label, David Rocco’s Dolce Vita, featuring three varietals: Prosecco, Chianti and Pinot Grigio.
Named one of “Canada’s Top Ten Style Makers” by Flare Magazine, David has been featured and is often quoted in major newspapers and magazines, including The Globe & Mail, The National Post, The Toronto Star, Hello!,En Route, Food & Drink and Chatelaine.
David has created some unique and highly successful partnerships over the years with brands such as TD Bank, Nespresso, Mercedes, ITC Hotels. In January 2015, Barilla announced a multi-year partnership with David Rocco as the new face of the world’s number one pasta brand. He is also an active supporter of numerous charity efforts including the Heart & Stroke Foundation, ONEXONE, and Women’s Cancer Research at Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital.
Currently, David lives in Toronto with his wife and business partner, Nina, and their three young children: Emma, Giorgia and Dante.
