    It's always a puzzle to determine which three bakers will make it to the finale, and this season, Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman are making it a sugar cookie puzzle. The four remaining young bakers must make sugar cookie puzzles in assigned flavours like raspberry, butterscotch, spice or lemon to earn a spot in the top three!

    Season 7 - September 16, 2019

    Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman are lost in space and challenge the three remaining bakers to create cakes that look like a spaceship, aliens or another planet.The most out-of-this-world cake wins, and only one baker will claim $25,000, a spot in Food Network Magazine and the title of Kids Baking Champion.

    Season 7 - September 16, 2019

    Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman present the four young bakers with late-summer fruit and challenge them to bake a beautiful, delicious pie. Only the cream of the crop will make it to the finale!

    Season 7 - September 9, 2019

    Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman challenge the five young bakers to each make a poke cake with fillings such as pureed fruit or pudding. To increase the cuteness factor, they must decorate it to look like the pokiest little critter -- a hedgehog!

    The six young bakers must fake it to make it as Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman challenge them to create imposters that look like international dishes, such as sushi or shish kebab, but taste like dessert.

    Season 7 - August 26, 2019

    Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask the seven young bakers to make a giant doughnut cake. Using Bundt cake pans, the bakers make a cake in an assigned flavour like strawberry or maple and then decorate it to look like an oversized doughnut.

    Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman challenge the eight bakers to defend Bird Island or Pig Island in this round inspired by the Angry Birds 2 movie. Each baker makes a dozen cupcakes based on a movie character, then they team up to build an edible island.

    Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman are hosting the ultimate bake sale for the finale. They challenge the remaining three young bakers to create cakes using bake sale items like toffee, rice cereal treats or chocolate-covered pretzels, but the cakes also have to illustrate a common bake sale theme like Drama Club, Dance Club or Chess Club. Only one baker will win $25,000, a spot in Food Network magazine and the title of Kids Baking Champion.

    There's a very special event happening for the Kids Baking Championship finale -- a 10th birthday celebration for Food Network Magazine! It's every baker for themselves as Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli challenge the three finalists to create a Food Network Magazine birthday cake worthy of the $25,000 prize and the title of Kids Baking Champion.

    With spring and summer approaching, Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman are reminded of their favorite place to hang out -- the beach! To earn a place in the finale, the remaining four kid bakers are challenged to create a cereal treat sand castle filled with two different baked goods.

    Cute little pets serve as the inspiration for incredible sweets when the last five kid bakers standing must create a dessert inspired by the animal they are paired with: guinea pig, turtle, rabbit, mini pig or silkie chicken.

    Season 3 - April 10, 2017

    Today, there's an app for almost everything! Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman provide app names like Snackchat, Clash of Carbs and Pastry Chef Go. Then, the remaining six kid bakers must design and create mobile app icons out of sugar cookies and explain what each app does. 

  • Breakfast Desserts

    Season 3 - April 7, 2017

    The remaining seven kid bakers become royal subjects to either Valerie "Queen of Pancakes" Bertinelli or Duff "King of Waffles" Goldman and must please their ruler by creating layer cakes made from waffles or pancakes. To increase the stakes, the winning side is immune from elimination.

    The most beloved challenge from the first season of Kids Baking Championship is back with a twist. For dessert imposters 2.0, the four remaining kid bakers must make a dessert item that looks like a savory dish and also create a savory cupcake for "dessert." It's dinner in reverse! 

  • Eclairs Gone Wild

    Season 2 -

    Time to hop on the "Eclairis Wheel" as the nine remaining kid bakers take on a sweeping new trend in baking: the radically elevated and decorated eclair. This cream-filled challenge will test the young bakers to the max!

  • Hot Chocolate

    Season 2 -

    Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman turn up the heat and ask the remaining eight bakers to incorporate chilies, peppers, cayenne and more into their chocolate creations. The kid bakers must balance the heat in their sweets, so that they showcase the flavor without overwhelming the judges' taste buds.

    Four fan-favorite kid bakers return for a Halloween-themed competition and battle it out for a baker's dream prize package that includes a blast chiller. The kids enter the kitchen to find Duff Goldman stuck in a spider web! After that initial surprise, he and Valerie Bertinelli challenge the bakers to embrace seemingly scary arachnids in the form of spider web desserts.

    Season 1 -

    For this kick off to the Kids Baking Championship, the kid bakers are hard at work to serve up two delicious signature items for a bake sale. Midway through the challenge, Duff and Valerie reveal that the kids must also make a third item using a classic childhood flavor combination.

    In this challenge, the kid bakers are asked to create dessert imposters — a sweet treat masquerading as a savory item. How convincingly will the bakers be able to make delicious sweets that look like tacos and bagels?

    The four remaining kid bakers are tasked with a massive challenge for the finale: create a celebration cake for the moment they win, along with baked party gifts that complement their cake in flavour and design.
