Playful Pink at Piano Piano

This Italian restaurant is all about sophisticated yet fun dining, with plenty of soul and warmth to feed your entire body. We’d say Tiffany captured that spirit right from the beginning at Piano Piano’s Harbord Street location, where a gorgeous floral mural sets the exterior apart. A soft pink façade and dark trim give the front even more oomph, so you know that you’re about to have a special and memorable experience from the moment you stroll on up.
-

An Intimate Vibe

If chef Victor Barry’s goal at Piano Piano was to make that one great ingredient taste even better, then Tiffany helped set that vibe in the dining room. There, an open kitchen faces high ceilings, a gorgeous arch, and jaw-dropping drop chandeliers that make the large space feel intimate and inviting. Pops of white and plenty of floral motifs throughout add a soft theme, and make you feel almost as though Nonna herself were quietly supervising and nodding her head in approval from the corner.
-

Pretty Pastel at Café CanCan

This Harbord Street café is an extension from the team at Piano Piano, which is clear from the way Tiffany carried through the colour scheme and updated the space (formerly the Harbord Room) with pastel pinks and pops of blue. There are cozy nooks and a long, beautiful bar for patrons who want to socialize, and cozy seating for those seeking more private conversations. Meanwhile, Tiffany has spared no small attention to detail. From the backs of the bar chairs, to the painted exposed brick, to the wainscoting on the ceiling, there is plenty for the eye to take in.
-

A Place to Reflect

Banquet seating with plush throw pillows along one wall adds yet another intimate element to the space at the temporarily closed Café CanCan. Even if you’re sipping a cuppa solo you feel as though you’re in good company. The giant mirrors help to reflect even more light and warmth throughout the cozy space, and small pops of gold add an extra bit of elegance. It would be hard not to feel like you’re somewhere special as you sip on a Bordeaux or crafted cocktail and nibble on some oh-so-French Escargot or Steak Poivre.
-

Taking Flight at Almond Butterfly

At the Dundas Street set Almond Butterfly, Tiffany really took flight with this design. The open-concept space immediately draws your eye to the focal point: an elongated counter with gorgeous drop lighting, a speckled front, and plenty of room. Along the back are open shelves, an espresso maker, and gorgeous hex tiling in soft hues that add lots of texture and airiness. It’s easy to imagine starting your morning off on a bright and cheerful note here, ordering up some signature baked goods and a hot coffee on your way to work, perhaps?
-

Flights of Fancy

For those who want to settle in for Almond Butterfly’s all-day brunch or indulge in some handhelds like burgers or tacos, Tiffany designed an equally bright, breezy, and welcoming eat-in area with plenty of coastal vibes. Smaller pendant lights add décor and light, soft greys balance the touches of signature pink, and whimsical feathers add heaps of personality. You can almost picture the beach as you sip on a mimosa or dig into a stack of pancakes.
-

Going Green at Tori’s Bakeshop

When Victoria “Tori” Vaccher opened her Beaches bakery in 2012 she had a clear vision: create a vegan space that runs consciously, producing as little waste as possible. While Tori had the food and concept firmly established, Tiffany helped her create an accompanying space that further brought that vision to life. Clean white lines from top to bottom definitely do that, as do the pops of mint green and plenty of plants along the walls along the open shelving.
-

Perfectly Pretty Branding

Tori’s Bakeshop features a seasonal menu, as she works with local artisans and vendors in order to truly minimize the shop’s footprint. So it made sense for Tiffany to add a chalkboard wall, where patrons can be alerted to the ever-changing menu in an eco-friendly way. Add in this gorgeous, oversized logo that almost doubles as an Instagram wall, and Tiffany definitely nailed this eco-friendly, vegan space.
-

Stepping into Sprinkles at The Vic Café

Walking into The Vic Café in Picton, Ont., is like taking a trip back to your childhood. Tiffany designed the bright space with lots of colour in mind, from the sprinkle-like sticks on the ceiling to the rainbow benches along the wall, to the bright accent pieces on the open shelves. Set against fresh white and pale pink backdrops with hints of gold finishes, the colours pop and easily set a fun and playful tone at this establishment.
-

Playing With the Unexpected

A dresser in a café? Why not? The Vic Café, which is currently closed due to COVID-19, was designed to be a creative space that sparks the imagination while offering up comfort fare. So Tiffany set up pencil crayon “centerpieces” at each table, and put together this pretty “dressing station” with interesting knickknacks on top and a colourful wallpaper behind. The eatery quickly became an Instagram haven shortly after launching, so here’s hoping they’ll be able to reopen soon and that even more visitors can take it all in, in person.
