Recipe by Doug DiPasquale, Holistic Nutritionist
Commercial mayonnaises are filled with unhealthy fats, additives and preservatives. Making your own mayonnaise is quick and easy and eliminates an unnecessary source of processed foods. This recipe includes flax seed oil, a great source of Omega 3 fatty acids. Now you no longer need to feel guilty about piling on the mayo!

Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl except for the organic canola oil.
Combine the two oils into one container. Using a hand-blender, an electronic mixer or food processor, (or if you have strong arms, a whisk), on a low speed, slowly whisk the oil into the base mixture, pouring in a thin stream. Make sure the oil gets incorporated into the mixture as it pours in.
The mayonnaise will begin to thicken as you add more oil. Because they add thickeners, commercial mayonnaises will tend to be thicker than homemade mayonnaises.
