About the Hosts
Jamie Oliver Restaurants and cooking are in Jamie Oliver's blood, as his parents own and operate a successful pub/restaurant in Clavering, where he grew up. He attended Westminster Catering College at 16, where he completed his formal training. Jamie began a food revolution in Britain with Jamie's School Dinners, prompting the British government to publicly commit to improving the quality of the country's school meals. Jamie married his childhood sweetheart, Jools, in 2000. They live in London with children Poppy, Daisy, Petal and Buddy.
Jimmy Doherty began his farming career over 10 years ago when he took on a 100 acre farm near Ipswich. The farm has grown with an award winning restaurant, butterfly house, and nature trail on the property and now hosts science and food festivals throughout the year.
Jimmy's farm adventure was covered in a BBC2 series called Jimmy's Farm. Jimmy Doherty has also appeared on TV in Food Unwrapped, Jimmy's Global Harvest, Jimmy's Food Factory, The Secret Millions, and Jamie and Jimmy's Food Fight Club among others.
Jimmy's interest in nature farming was evident event at a young age. When he was 16, he was the youngest ever Assistant Entomologist at the Mole Hall Wildfife Park in Walden. He went on to earn a degree in Zoology and taught Animal Ecology and Animal Philosophy to undergraduate students.
