Beer & Brown Sugar Pulled Pork Sliders with Green Apple Slaw

cup tomato paste

Tbsp soy sauce

Tbsp balsamic vinegar

Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

tsp chili powder

tsp smoked paprika
1
tsp garlic powder
cup brown sugar, packed

oz Erdinger Dunkel beer (available at liquor stores across Canada)

pork loins (or pork butt; loins are just leaner)
1
green apple, cut into thin slices

cup sour cream

Tbsp Sriracha sauce

bunch chives, thinly chopped

Step 1

In a small bowl whisk together the tomato paste, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder and brown sugar.

Step 2

Add the sauce, pork and Erdinger Dunkel to a slow cooker. Cook on low for 4 hours or until pork pulls apart easy with a fork.

Step 3

While pork is cooking, prepare the slaw. Add the sour cream and Sriracha to a bowl and mix well. Then add the green apple and coat. Make sure the slaw is not ‘soupy’ and drowning the apple. If it is, add more apple. Then add the chopped chives and mix well.

Step 4

When pork is ready, use two forks to shred it.

Step 5

Scoop into slider buns and top with your apple slaw.

Step 6

Serve warm.
