ingredients

pastry, for 10- inch double- crust pie

cup apple, diced, peeled

cup blueberries

cup raspberries
1 ½
cup blackberries
1 ½
cup cranberries
1 ½
cup plum, diced
1 ¼
cup sugar
cup flour

Tbsp cornstarch
½
tsp cinnamon

Tbsp lemon, juice
1
egg, lightly, beaten

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

On lightly floured surface, roll out a little more than half of the pastry.

Step 3

Fit into 10-inch (25 cm) pie plate.

Step 4

Trim and flute edge.

Step 5

Roll out remaining dough.

Step 6

Using maple leaf cutter, cut out shapes.

Step 7

Chill on baking sheet.

Step 8

In large saucepan, combine apples, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cranberries and plums.

Step 9

In bowl, stir together sugar, flour, cornstarch and cinnamon.

Step 10

Gently stir into fruit mixture along with lemon juice.

Step 11

Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until berries release juices.

Step 12

Spoon into prepared pie shell.

Step 13

Arrange pastry leaves over filling.

Step 14

Brush crust and leaves with egg.

Step 15

Bake on baking sheet in 400°F (200°C) oven for 15 minutes.

Step 16

Reduce heat to 350°F (180°C).

Step 17

Bake for about
50 minutes longer or until pastry is golden and filling is bubbly and thickened.

Step 18

Let cool on rack.
