Directions for: Charred Onion-Cranberry Relish


1 Tbsp (15 mL) olive oil

1 Tbsp (15 mL) butter

2 large onions, quartered

1 cup (250 mL) fresh cranberries

¼ cup (60 mL) Italian flat leaf parsley, finely chopped

salt and pepper


1. In a large skillet set over medium-high heat, add oil and melt butter. Add onions and sauté until dark golden brown, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2. Add cranberries and cook until tender, about 5 minutes, then stir in parsley and season to taste with salt and pepper.
