cup soft butter (250 ml)

cup super fine sugar (or granulated pulsed in processor until fine) (125 ml)

tsp vanilla (5 ml)

cup pastry flour (650 ml)

tsp salt (1 ml)

cup ground almonds (250 ml)

cup icing sugar, for sprinkling (250 ml)

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Step 2

Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and mix. Sift together the flour and salt, add almonds and stir. Add the flour mixture to the creamed butter and mix until smooth. Roll into crescent shapes and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 minutes, or until golden. Let cool and sprinkle with icing sugar.
