Grilled Haloumi on Toast

ingredients

Slices of hearty breads with crusty outsides and tender insides. (I love rosemary and olive bread or crusty sourdoughs). Slices should be about ¼" thick
Some good extra virgin olive oil for brushing on the bread
Block of Haloumi cheese sliced into ¼" slices

Step 1

Place the haloumi slices in a cold grill pan and heat on

medium-high for 3 minutes or until the underside is golden.

Flip and repeat. The entire process takes just a few minutes so

don’t leave this unattended.

Step 2

In the meantime, brush a little olive oil on the bread

slices and toast them.

Step 3

To assemble…just place the grilled haloumi on top of the

toast slices and cut into bit sized (or two bite) slices.

Step 4

Serve with other finger foods for instant tapas and enjoy.
