cup (500 ml) spinach, washed ans stems removed

panini, ciabatta or small baguette loaves

cup (80 ml) coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans

unpeeled pear, thinly sliced

Step 1
Preheat barbecue to medium-high.
Step 2
Place spinach in a microwave-safe dish with 2 tbsp (30 mL) water. Cover and cook 2 minutes on high. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
Open bread and evenly divide ingredients among sandwiches, layering them. Close sandwiches. Quickly grill on barbecue, flattening sandwiches with a frying pan or spatula.
Step 4
Serve immediately with a tossed salad drizzled with Italian dressing.
