Grilled Sugar & Cinnamon Doughnuts

Ingredients

store bought plain cake donuts
2
Tbsp white sugar
1 ½
tsp ground cinnamon
2
Tbsp melted butter
3
heavy bricks wrapped in foil.
1
cup crème fraiche

Directions

Step 1

Preheat barbeque to medium heat (350°F/175°C).

Step 2

Oil grill.

Step 3

In a small bowl mix cinnamon and sugar. Place the mixture on a small plate.

Step 4

Brush both sides of each donut with melted butter.

Step 5

Dip each side of the donut in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Step 6

Place each donut on the grill and top with the foil-covered bricks to weigh them down.

Step 7

Cook for 2 minutes per side or until the sugar is caramelized and donuts is crispy and toasted.

Step 8

Remove from grill and serve with coffee, a dollop of crème fraiche or ice cream.
