Making your own ice cream couldn’t be any simpler! Skip the store-bought stuff and whip up some of this incredibly rich and smooth treat.

(14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 ½
cup whole milk
6
oz semi sweet chocolate, chopped
¼
cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted (to prevent lumps)

Tbsp cornstarch
2
Tbsp water
1
tsp pure vanilla extract
¼
tsp salt

Step 1
Combine sweetened condensed milk and whole milk in a pot over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil and whisk frequently. Once boiling, remove from heat. Whisk in chocolate and cocoa powder until smooth.
Step 2
Return the pot to heat and simmer for another 5 minutes, or until thickened. In a separate bowl, whisk together corn starch and water. Whisk in corn starch, vanilla extract and salt.
Step 3
Pour ice cream into a large dish and cover with plastic wrap. Freeze for 3 hours, or until firm.
